Content: The presentation provided information on the “SPEAK OUT!” Program for people with Parkinson’s (PWP) to regain and maintain their voice and minimize any swallowing issues. The presenter had the group perform some of the exercises that are part of the program.

Bio: Hilary Byatt is the Clinic Director and Speech-Language Pathologist at Parkinson Voice Project. She graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas with a BBA and earned an MS in Communication Disorders from University of Texas at Dallas. She has over 30 years of experience in healthcare.
Hilary joined Parkinson Voice Project in January 2023. Most recently she was a practicing clinician primarily in the home health setting, specializing in the evaluation and treatment of adults with deficits in language, voice, cognition, and swallowing.
In her role as Clinic Director, Hilary leads and supports the clinical team charged with preserving the speech and minimizing swallowing deficits of individuals diagnosed with Parkinson’s and related movement disorders. Hilary also leads the medical office specialists who ensure new patients are timely scheduled for SPEAK OUT! evaluations/treatments and current patients are assigned to weekly maintenance groups.
